Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on 1 October 1995 at Berkeley, California, USA. She is an actress of renown that has appeared in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006,) and Chrissie mayr's Content House.
Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is comprised of actors as is she, herself doing both professions. Aged nine she made her feature film debut in the role of Sergio Citti in Sogni e bisogni. The year 1988 saw her was the principal role in Cristina Comencini's first motion picture Zoo (1988) in addition to well as being part of Michele Soavi's ensemble for The Church (1989). Later in the year, she was Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon (1989) (also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (1992) by Michele Placido (both writer and director) is where Asia really began to begin to take off. It allowed her to progress from the roles of young females to more sophisticated and mature characters. It was received well at the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma was her first film created by her father. Her mother Daria Nicoledi is Argento's favourite actress. In Trauma she played an orexic searching for the murderer of her parents. The Phantom of the Opera will be her third film together with her father, which includes Trauma & The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's dedication and passion for acting was also utilized for the part of Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a Nozze. Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot in which she played a crucial role. In 1995, Asia collaborated with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion, for which she was awarded a David di Donatello. In 1994 Asia decided to try her hand at directing and turned out two film shorts: Prospettive in 1996, she made a documentary of her father and, in 1998, one on the cult director Abel Ferrara, Abel/Asia (1998) and was awarded an award at the Rome Film Festival. In 1999 Asia began her film-directing career by directing Scarlet Diva (2000), in which she was the main actress and writer for the script. The film was made available worldwide in May 2000. The film was honoured by the Williamsburg Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou was born in 2001, after having directed several music videos. In 2002 Asia appeared on The Red Siren with Jean Marc Barr, and Rob Cohen's Action thrille directed with Vin Diesel. Asia also wrote a few short stories that have been published by many magazines.
